The Center for New Pathways ✦ Schaumburg, IL ✦ June 12–13, 2026
Stop treating trauma just "from the neck up." Join Vito Alberga for an exclusive 2-day in-person intensive in Schaumburg, IL. Experience the somatic breakthrough yourself, so you can lead your clients further.
This is for the skilled practitioner who has reached a frustrating ceiling. You’ve mastered the theories, yet you find yourself witnessing clients who understand their trauma perfectly—while their bodies remain trapped in the same reactive triggers.
Success in this intensive requires more than a license; it demands a radical willingness to inhabit—not just analyze—one’s inner world. We are looking for the practitioner ready to trade the safety of intellectual distance for the raw accuracy of direct emotional and somatic experience. This is not for those who wish to remain comfortable. It requires:
A high tolerance for emotional intensity.
The ability to stay grounded as old narratives begin to destabilize.
The understanding that to guide a client to the source, you must first walk the path yourself.
"Beneath the professional exterior lies a subtle disillusionment with repetitive interventions and the 'talk' that never touches the root."
This intensive is designed to move you beyond the exhaustion of symptom management and into the clinical certainty of facilitating permanent neurological resolution.
Understand why lasting change requires more than "talking through" history. You will master the mechanics of accessing and updating implicit emotional memory networks—shifting the therapeutic goal from intellectual understanding to lived, embodied transformation.
Grasp how the strategic integration of Hypnotherapy, Psychodrama, Breathwork, IFS, and EMDR creates a precise, step-by-step pathway for Memory Reconsolidation. You will learn exactly how each modality serves as a distinct and necessary gear in the machine of permanent change.
Identify the specific intersection of trance, emotional activation, and somatic awareness that bypasses cognitive resistance. This framework allows you to move beyond the exhaustion of symptom management and into the clinical certainty of resolving trauma at its root.
Hypnotherapy opens the door · Inner Child Work connects to the source · Psychodrama brings it to life · Breathwork creates safety · IFS organizes the system · EMDR locks in the change.
Opens the subconscious door to access deep-seated emotional material, softening top-down cognitive control to reach the pre-verbal levels where trauma was originally formed.
Directly connects to the source of early emotional learning, allowing participants to identify and engage with the foundational experiences that drive current behavioral patterns.
Brings the experience to life. Allows emotional patterns to be fully activated, expressed, and witnessed—transforming internal loops into external, workable narratives.
Targets interoceptive awareness and vagal tone to expand nervous system capacity. These somatic regulation practices create the physiological safety required for deep emotional integration.
Organizes the internal system by helping different parts of the self engage in the healing process, fostering the internal leadership necessary to navigate complex trauma.
Facilitates the final stage of memory reconsolidation. This "locks in" the new, adaptive learning, ensuring the transformation is neurologically integrated and permanent.
"Within 90 minutes, core issues were unearthed from my life that had never surfaced in previous therapy sessions. Vito provided a highly immersive and integrated psychotherapeutic experience — I found it to be a safe, healing, and transformational experience in my personal life. Most important, this experience has made a profound impact on my work with clients. I highly recommend this training for any mental health practitioner."

Founder, The Center for New Pathways
Vito Alberga is a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of The Center for New Pathways in Schaumburg, Illinois — a practice built on one conviction: that real, lasting change requires reaching the level where emotional learning was originally formed.
Over decades of clinical work, Vito developed a methodology that integrates six distinct modalities into a single, coherent framework — the Memory Reconsolidation Sequence — designed to update the brain's stored emotional learnings at their source.
His work draws from EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Psychodrama, Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Breathwork, and Chakra-based somatic practices. Not as competing approaches. As a coordinated system — each modality amplifying the others.
Beyond theory, this intensive is designed to deliver immediate, practical value to your daily clinical practice and personal growth.
Participants will explore how traumatic memories are formed and maintained, and learn how to activate, destabilize, and transform these patterns using approaches drawn from EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodrama, and Hypnotherapy.
The training also integrates experiential practices such as inner child healing, chakra-based meditation, and breathwork techniques to deepen emotional access, regulate the nervous system, and support integration of new adaptive responses.
Emphasis is placed on key mechanisms like mismatch experiences and prediction error, which open the brain’s window for change, allowing outdated emotional responses to be permanently rewritten.
"Through a blend of teaching, live demonstrations, and guided exercises, participants will gain practical tools to eliminate triggers, shift entrenched patterns, and facilitate profound, integrative healing for themselves or their clients."
Strictly limited to 8 participants to preserve intimacy.
